Overview

After picking up your hire car, your adventure through one of the South African capitals begins with a four-night stay at the 4-star Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Victoria Junction. Next, you’ll spend two nights at the Spier Hotel followed by a further two nights at the Garden Route Game Lodge. Your trip concludes with a further three nights at Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Victoria Junction before returning home. You will have daily breakfast included throughout your stay as well as two game drives.

Journey into modern history by sailing to the infamous Robben Island. a prison colony for centuries, it was used during the days of apartheid to hold several political prisoners, with the most famous being Nelson Mandela, who spent 18 years out of a total of 27 behind bars here. Travelling back to the mainland you can either gather your impressions of the day, before reaching the V&A harbour where you’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants to while away the evening. A stay in Cape Town should also not be without day trips to nearby sights and culinary destinations. Tour the Stellenbosch vineyards to sample some of the great South African grapes, travel to Walker Bay for a chance to watch whales or travel north to the West Coast National Park, where you’ll be able to see thousands of unique wildflowers.
